"Called in to see what could be done about lowering my rate. Came to find out that my rate was being raised about $45/month due to “state wide rate hikes.” I was ultimately told “well that’s the cost of insurance.” This is not the first bout of rude and unprofessional behavior from the employees at Michelle’s office but it is certainly the last straw. State Farm will entice you to switch with a low initial rate then jack it up on you upon renewal. The office has the same answer every time; “it’s someone else’s fault and we can’t do anything about it.” There is zero sense of a care in the world because they will get paid regardless if you are being dragged over the coals or not. For reference: I am a 30 year old with zero accidents & zero tickets. I insure a standard vehicle. When I started with SF 2.5 years ago I was given a rate of $154/month. Today they have raised me to $250/month. Don’t give yourself the headache, just look elsewhere. Michelle is very nice, State Farm and Michelle’s employees are HORRENDOUS."
